Douglas Rohde currently serves as the Senior Military Science Instructor (contractor) for the Freshman and Sophomore Cadets. He was born and raised in Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and commissioned through Army ROTC into active-duty service as an Army Infantry Officer. 

Mr. Rohde’s first assignment in the Army was with 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. He served in a variety of leadership and staff positions to include Rifle Platoon Leader, Rifle Company XO, Battalion S4, and Battalion Assistant S3. After completion of Maneuver Captain’s Career Course in May 2017, Mr. Rohde was assigned to 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and served as a Brigade Planner and Company Commander, to include a deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve to Mosul, Iraq in 2019. Mr. Rohde was then selected to serve as a Company Commander in 1st Battalion, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment “The Old Guard” conducting Memorial Affairs in Arlington National Cemetery and ceremonies in the National Capital Region. In January 2022 Mr. Rohde left active-duty service and joined the Nebraska Army National Guard in July 2024. He currently serves as the Assistant S3 of 2^nd Battalion (Airborne), 134^th Infantry Regiment. 

Mr. Rohde is a graduate of multiple military schools including the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, Combatives Level I,  Ranger School, Airborne School, and Air Assault School.
